BELL WITCH - Evil Greed's Distro Picks

In this new video, Dylan Desmond (bass, vocals), Jesse Shreibman (percussion, Hammond B3, vocals) and Erik Moggridge of Aerial Ruin talk about some of their favorite records in Evil Greed’s store.

From Mizmor to Primitive Man, from The Body to Yob, these 20 minutes recount the musical tastes of a band that created one of the most beautiful doom albums of recent years.

Bell Witch have, since their inception in 2010, carved out a unique niche in the metal scene, utilizing only bass, drums and vocals to create a mournful, melodic take on minimalism and an ethereal but crushing approach to magnitude. Their most recent LP, “Mirror Reaper” (Profound Lore), was recorded by Billy Anderson and is their most focused, structured and melancholy release to date.

“Mirror Reaper” sees the band explore the more meditative, melancholy, and introspective aspects of their sound through the introduction of long, lonely organ passages and the return of honorary Bell Witch member, vocalist Erik Moggridge (Aerial Ruin), as a prominent presence.
