Formed 2010 and known for a hard-touring DIY approach which has seen them play over 800 shows to-date, Copenhagen Blackened Hardcore road-warriors HEXIS arrive on DMP in fighting form with third full-length “Aeternum”, the band’s most dynamic, cohesive, cerebral and undoubtedly heaviest record yet.
Almost 3 years in the making, enforced time away from the stage has allowed the band to refocus and redefine their thunderous sound into a truly distinctive beast which merges violent Hardcore, desolate Black Metal, brooding post-Metal and elements of Dark Ambient with the churning ruthlessness of bass-driven Industrial and Grind.
Anchored by an unhinged - but always communicative - vocal performance from band-mastermind Filip Andersenand encompassing a striking lyrical bleakness portraying a nightmarish netherworld of pessimistic disillusion, despondency and hatred, “Aeternum” is a visceral, emotive and essential voyage through the power found in degradation and decay.
